A good time was had by you, but out of the blue now your carpet is decorated with spilled water stains. Well, some people might abuse the usage of Mount Franklin spring water. Get a grip! You can have your carpet looking fresh
by the next day. How? To protect your investment, just do these simple steps to remove the ugly stains.
Step 1.
Combine a solution of half water and half white vinegar. If vinegar is unavailable, warm water is advisable. The acidic vinegar is gonna neutralize the alkalinity of the sediment that is constituting the water stain.
Step 2.
Dip a white towel or rag with the water/vinegar solution. We don't want to make the cloth soak, but only wet.
Step 3.
Rub the towel over the carpet stain gently . The objective is to get the tips of the carpet fibers wet, not to soak the carpet itself.
Step 4.
Allow the carpet to dry.
This process might be accelerated by tapping a mere tissue to the stains in order to absorb the solution along with the stains
Hopefully the stain is gone or at least minimized.
If the stain is reduced but still noticeable, repeat the water/vinegar process until the stain is gone.
The most important factor in removing any stains from a carpet is to tackle the job as soon as possible. If it is allowed to remain on the carpet for longer than a few moments, it might become permanent that only an expensive professional carpet cleaning service will be able to undo, and even then there is no guarantee of complete success.
